QA Engineer Job Description

We are hiring a QA Engineer to safeguard the quality of everything we ship. You will design test plans, build automated test suites, and dig into edge cases that others miss, working alongside developers to catch issues early. This role suits someone methodical and curious who takes real ownership of quality rather than treating it as a final checkbox.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute test plans across features and releases
• Build and maintain automated test suites
• Report, track, and verify defects through to resolution

Responsibilities

• Write detailed test plans and test cases from product requirements
• Perform functional, regression, and exploratory testing on new features
• Build and maintain automated tests with tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
• Test APIs and backend logic with tools such as Postman or automated suites
• Reproduce, document, and prioritize bugs with clear repro steps and severity
• Verify fixes and run regression checks before each release
• Integrate automated tests into CI pipelines so failures block bad releases
• Test across browsers, devices, and edge cases including error conditions
• Track quality metrics like defect escape rate and test coverage
• Partner with developers and product to define acceptance criteria early

Requirements

• 2 or more years in software quality assurance or test engineering
• Experience writing and maintaining automated tests in a modern framework
• Solid understanding of testing methodologies, the test pyramid, and SDLC
• Familiarity with API testing, bug tracking, and CI/CD workflows
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience
