How the match is scored

The matcher reads the job description and pulls out the skills, tools and key terms it asks for. It then reads the resume and checks each term, allowing for common variants and abbreviations. The fit percentage is the share of the job's terms found in the resume, weighted so that skills named in the requirements count more than words in the company blurb. Matched terms are listed in green, missing ones in red.

Reading the result honestly

A high score means the resume speaks the job's language. It does not mean the person can do the job, and a low score can hide a strong candidate who wrote their resume differently. Use the missing list as interview questions rather than as a filter: ask about the gaps, and you will learn more than any keyword count can tell you.
