Solutions Architect Job Description

About the role

We are looking for a Solutions Architect to design robust, scalable solutions that map our technology to real customer and business needs. You will lead technical discovery, shape architectures across applications, data, and infrastructure, and guide delivery teams from proposal through implementation. This role suits a broad technologist who can move fluidly between a whiteboard with executives and a design review with engineers.

• Guide delivery teams from architecture through implementation

Responsibilities

• Run technical discovery to capture requirements, constraints, and success criteria
• Design end-to-end architectures spanning applications, data, integration, and infrastructure
• Produce architecture diagrams, decision records, and technical proposals
• Evaluate build-versus-buy trade-offs and recommend appropriate technologies
• Define non-functional requirements for security, scalability, and availability
• Lead proof-of-concept builds to de-risk key technical decisions
• Present solutions and trade-offs to both executives and engineering teams
• Guide delivery teams through implementation and resolve architectural blockers
• Establish integration patterns and API contracts across systems
• Review designs for cost, maintainability, and alignment with long-term strategy

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
• 7 or more years in software engineering, with recent architecture or design leadership
• Proven experience designing and delivering complex systems in production
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, integration patterns, and security fundamentals
• Excellent communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders
