01What is the eNPS Survey?
The eNPS Survey measures employee Net Promoter Score, a single headline metric for how likely your people are to recommend the organization as a great place to work. At its center is the 0 to 10 scale question, followed by open text that asks for the primary reason behind the score and the one thing the organization could do to earn a higher one. Around that core, this 13-question template adds statements on pride, fairness, whether the day-to-day experience matches what was promised in hiring, and confidence in leadership. It is short enough to run frequently and pointed enough to show where loyalty is won or lost.
02Why run an eNPS Survey
eNPS gives leaders one number they can track over time and a clear story behind it. The 0 to 10 recommend question converts scattered sentiment into promoters, passives, and detractors, while the two open-text follow-ups tell you exactly why people landed where they did and what would move them up. The supporting statements on pride, fair treatment, and whether the job matched the hiring pitch help you separate a compensation problem from a trust or expectations problem. Because it is only 13 questions, you can run it quarterly, spot dips early, and connect changes in the score to specific decisions you have made.
03What this eNPS Survey covers
The 13 questions start with the classic driver: "On a scale of 0 to 10, how likely are you to recommend this organization as a great place to work to a friend or colleague?" Two open-text items then capture the primary reason for the score and the single change that would raise it, turning a number into actionable feedback. The remaining statements probe the emotional and rational sides of loyalty: feeling proud to tell people where you work, whether daily experience matches what hiring described, belief that the organization treats employees fairly and with respect, whether people would choose to work here again, and satisfaction with the quality of leadership. Together they explain the score, not just report it.
04How to use this free template
Copy or download the 13 questions and load them into your survey tool of choice, such as Google Forms, Typeform, or Microsoft Forms. No signup is needed. Set the recommend question as a 0 to 10 scale, leave the two reason questions as open text, and keep everything anonymous so scores are honest. Send it to the full workforce in one window, give people a few days to respond, then calculate your eNPS and read the comments together for context before deciding what to act on.
