Product Manager Job Description

About the role

We need a Product Manager to own the direction of a product area from discovery through launch and beyond. You will talk to customers, prioritize a roadmap, and work shoulder to shoulder with design and engineering to ship things people love. The ideal candidate blends sharp judgment, clear communication, and a bias toward outcomes over output.

Key responsibilities

  • Own the product roadmap and priorities
  • Discover and validate customer problems
  • Lead cross-functional delivery from idea to launch

Responsibilities

  • Set and communicate a clear product vision, strategy, and prioritized roadmap
  • Run customer interviews and research to uncover and validate real problems
  • Write crisp product specs, user stories, and acceptance criteria for engineering
  • Prioritize the backlog using impact, effort, and confidence rather than opinion
  • Define success metrics and track adoption, retention, and other outcomes after launch
  • Partner daily with design and engineering through discovery, build, and release
  • Analyze usage data and feedback to decide what to build, cut, or iterate on
  • Coordinate go-to-market with marketing, sales, and support for each release
  • Balance new features against reliability, tech debt, and user experience
  • Communicate progress, trade-offs, and decisions to stakeholders and leadership

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience in a product, technical, or business field
  • 3 or more years in product management shipping software products end to end
  • Proven experience owning a roadmap and making prioritization calls with trade-offs
  • Strong grasp of product discovery, metrics, and working with design and engineering
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical audiences
