Associate Product Manager Job Description

About the role

We are looking for an Associate Product Manager to learn the craft of product management while making real contributions from day one. You will support senior PMs across discovery, writing user stories, analyzing usage data, and coordinating with engineering and design to move features from idea to launch. This is a great fit for a sharp, curious generalist who is eager to talk to users, dig into data, and grow quickly into a full product role.

Key responsibilities

• Support feature discovery, requirements, and user research
• Analyze product usage data to inform decisions
• Coordinate delivery across engineering and design

Day-to-day responsibilities

• Write clear user stories and acceptance criteria for scoped features
• Conduct user interviews and synthesize feedback into actionable themes
• Analyze product usage data and funnels to surface opportunities and issues
• Help maintain and groom the product backlog alongside senior PMs
• Coordinate with engineering and design throughout sprints to keep work unblocked
• Run competitor and market teardowns to inform feature decisions
• Support beta launches, collect early feedback, and track adoption metrics
• Write release notes and internal updates so stakeholders stay informed
• Triage incoming bugs and feature requests and route them appropriately
• Prepare data and materials for product reviews and roadmap discussions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, design, or a related field
• 0 to 2 years of experience in product, analytics, consulting, or a related role
• Comfort working with data to support decisions, for example spreadsheets or basic SQL
• Strong written and verbal communication and a genuine curiosity about users
• Evidence of ownership through internships, side projects, or early-career roles
