What is AAP - Affirmative Action Plan?
A written compliance document required of federal contractors and subcontractors that details specific steps the organization will take to increase hiring and advancement of women, minorities, individuals with disabilities, and protected veterans in the workforce.
Why it matters in hiring
AAP - Affirmative Action Plan comes up whenever teams compare candidates, set policy or report on people data. Getting the definition right keeps decisions consistent, which is the same reason springhire scores every applicant against the same criteria rather than on impression.
