What a good HR toolkit covers
An HR toolkit is the set of documents, calculators and checklists an HR team reaches for every week. This one is free and covers a hire from the job description to the offer letter, then the policies, surveys and frameworks that come after it.
What is in the toolkit
Three AI tools write first drafts: a job description generator, an interview question generator and a resume screener that scores a resume against a job description. The templates cover job descriptions, interview questions by role, HR letters, email templates, policies, frameworks and OKR examples. Checklists cover onboarding, offboarding, compliance and hiring. The calculators work out salary hikes, TDS, cost per hire, attrition and notice periods, and the payslip generator turns salary components into a payslip. Surveys, an HR maturity assessment and an employee sentiment check measure how the team is doing.
Hiring, from the job description to the offer
The hiring tools hand off to each other. Write the role with the job description generator or start from a template, then turn the same role into an interview kit with what to listen for in each answer. Paste a resume into the resume screener to see how it matches the description, and send the offer letter from the letter templates. Keeping one description from start to finish means the interview tests what the job needs, and the resume is scored against the same thing.
People operations: policies, letters and checklists
The policy templates are working drafts for leave, remote work, conduct and the other rules a growing team needs written down. The letters cover offers, relieving, appraisals and the rest of the paperwork around a job. The checklists keep onboarding and offboarding the same for every person, which is where small teams most often slip. Every template is a starting point: add your company details, check it against local employment law, and have policies and contracts reviewed before you rely on them.
Measuring how the team is doing
The survey templates cover engagement, onboarding, exit and feedback, with questions you can copy into any survey tool. The HR maturity assessment is a short quiz that shows where an HR function is strong and where it lags. The employee sentiment check is a quick pulse on how a team feels right now. Pair them with the attrition rate and cost per hire calculators, and you have the numbers most leadership teams ask HR for.
Free, and what the limits are
Every tool is free with no sign-up. The AI tools allow five AI drafts a day, and after that they switch to a standard version that still produces a usable result. The calculators work out their numbers in your browser as you type. Nothing here asks for a card or an account.
When applications arrive in the hundreds
The toolkit helps you write, prepare and measure. Reading every applicant is the part it cannot do. springhire runs the first round: skills tests, recorded video answers and resume scores for every applicant, ranked in one report. The free plan includes 10 credits a month with no card, and a credit is only spent when a candidate completes.
