What is Annual Leave (Singapore)?
Under Singapore's Employment Act, employees who have completed at least 3 months of service are entitled to paid annual leave starting at 7 days in the first year, increasing by 1 day per year of service up to a maximum of 14 days.
Why it matters in hiring
Annual Leave (Singapore) comes up whenever teams compare candidates, set policy or report on people data. Getting the definition right keeps decisions consistent, which is the same reason springhire scores every applicant against the same criteria rather than on impression.
