What is Behavioral Interview?
An interview technique that asks candidates to describe past situations to predict how they will behave in similar future scenarios, based on the principle that past behavior is the best predictor of future performance.
Why it matters in hiring
Behavioral Interview comes up whenever teams compare candidates, set policy or report on people data. Getting the definition right keeps decisions consistent, which is the same reason springhire scores every applicant against the same criteria rather than on impression.
