What is Bias Interrupter?

A specific, evidence-based process change inserted into a workplace decision point (hiring, performance review, promotion, assignment) to break the link between unconscious bias and the outcome of that decision.

Why it matters in hiring

Bias Interrupter comes up whenever teams compare candidates, set policy or report on people data. Getting the definition right keeps decisions consistent, which is the same reason springhire scores every applicant against the same criteria rather than on impression.
