HR Glossary
What is Collective Bargaining?
The negotiation process between an employer and a labor union representing employees to establish wages, hours, benefits, and other terms and conditions of employment, resulting in a legally binding collective bargaining agreement.
Why it matters in hiring
Collective Bargaining comes up whenever teams compare candidates, set policy or report on people data. Getting the definition right keeps decisions consistent, which is the same reason springhire scores every applicant against the same criteria rather than on impression.
