HR Glossary
What is Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA)?
A legally binding written contract negotiated between an employer (or group of employers) and a labor union representing employees, covering wages, benefits, working conditions, grievance procedures, and other terms of employment.
Why it matters in hiring
Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) comes up whenever teams compare candidates, set policy or report on people data. Getting the definition right keeps decisions consistent, which is the same reason springhire scores every applicant against the same criteria rather than on impression.
