What is Commuter Assignment?
An international work arrangement where an employee regularly travels between their home country and a host-country workplace on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly cycle, maintaining their primary residence at home while fulfilling a role that requires sustained physical presence in another country.
Why it matters in hiring
Commuter Assignment comes up whenever teams compare candidates, set policy or report on people data. Getting the definition right keeps decisions consistent, which is the same reason springhire scores every applicant against the same criteria rather than on impression.
