What is Compa-Ratio?
A metric that compares an employee's actual salary to the midpoint of their assigned pay range, expressed as a percentage, used to assess how competitively an individual is paid.
Why it matters in hiring
Compa-Ratio comes up whenever teams compare candidates, set policy or report on people data. Getting the definition right keeps decisions consistent, which is the same reason springhire scores every applicant against the same criteria rather than on impression.
