What is Drug-Free Workplace?
A workplace policy and program that prohibits the unlawful manufacture, distribution, dispensing, possession, or use of controlled substances by employees, often required by federal contracts and supported by testing, education, and employee assistance resources.
Why it matters in hiring
Drug-Free Workplace comes up whenever teams compare candidates, set policy or report on people data. Getting the definition right keeps decisions consistent, which is the same reason springhire scores every applicant against the same criteria rather than on impression.
