HR Glossary
What is Employment Tribunal?
A specialist judicial body in England, Wales, and Scotland that hears and decides disputes between employers and employees (or former employees) on matters including unfair dismissal, discrimination, redundancy pay, and wage claims.
Why it matters in hiring
Employment Tribunal comes up whenever teams compare candidates, set policy or report on people data. Getting the definition right keeps decisions consistent, which is the same reason springhire scores every applicant against the same criteria rather than on impression.
