HR Glossary
What is Enterprise Agreement (Australia)?
A legally binding agreement between an Australian employer and a group of employees (or their union) that sets wages and working conditions for the covered workforce, approved by the Fair Work Commission and replacing the applicable Modern Award for most terms.
Why it matters in hiring
Enterprise Agreement (Australia) comes up whenever teams compare candidates, set policy or report on people data. Getting the definition right keeps decisions consistent, which is the same reason springhire scores every applicant against the same criteria rather than on impression.
