What is Equal Opportunity Policy?
A formal statement that commits an organization to making employment decisions based on merit, qualifications, and job-related criteria, free from discrimination based on race, gender, age, disability, religion, or other protected characteristics.
Why it matters in hiring
Equal Opportunity Policy comes up whenever teams compare candidates, set policy or report on people data. Getting the definition right keeps decisions consistent, which is the same reason springhire scores every applicant against the same criteria rather than on impression.
