What is Fit Note?
A medical certificate issued by a UK doctor or approved healthcare professional that advises whether a patient is either not fit for work or may be fit for work with certain adjustments, replacing the old-style sick note since 2010.
Why it matters in hiring
Fit Note comes up whenever teams compare candidates, set policy or report on people data. Getting the definition right keeps decisions consistent, which is the same reason springhire scores every applicant against the same criteria rather than on impression.
