HR Glossary
What is Gainsharing?
A team-based incentive program that shares financial gains from operational improvements, such as increased productivity, reduced waste, or lower costs, directly with the employees who generated those improvements.
Why it matters in hiring
Gainsharing comes up whenever teams compare candidates, set policy or report on people data. Getting the definition right keeps decisions consistent, which is the same reason springhire scores every applicant against the same criteria rather than on impression.
