What is Geofencing (Attendance)?
A location-based technology that uses GPS, Wi-Fi, or cellular data to create virtual boundaries around a worksite, automatically recording employee clock-ins and clock-outs when they enter or leave the designated area.
Why it matters in hiring
Geofencing (Attendance) comes up whenever teams compare candidates, set policy or report on people data. Getting the definition right keeps decisions consistent, which is the same reason springhire scores every applicant against the same criteria rather than on impression.
