HR Glossary
What is Inpatriate?
An employee transferred from a foreign subsidiary to the company's headquarters country, typically for leadership development, knowledge transfer, or to bring regional expertise to the central office.
Why it matters in hiring
Inpatriate comes up whenever teams compare candidates, set policy or report on people data. Getting the definition right keeps decisions consistent, which is the same reason springhire scores every applicant against the same criteria rather than on impression.
