HR Glossary
What is Internal Transfer?
A formal move of an employee from one role, department, or location to another within the same organization, initiated by the employee, a manager, or HR.
Why it matters in hiring
Internal Transfer comes up whenever teams compare candidates, set policy or report on people data. Getting the definition right keeps decisions consistent, which is the same reason springhire scores every applicant against the same criteria rather than on impression.
