HR Glossary
What is Labor Law?
The subset of employment law that specifically governs collective bargaining, union organizing, workers' right to concerted activity, unfair labor practices, and the relationship between employers, labor unions, and employees acting collectively.
Why it matters in hiring
Labor Law comes up whenever teams compare candidates, set policy or report on people data. Getting the definition right keeps decisions consistent, which is the same reason springhire scores every applicant against the same criteria rather than on impression.
