What is Non-Compete Agreement?
A contractual clause that restricts an employee from working for a competitor or starting a competing business for a specified period after leaving the employer, enforceable in some US states and many countries but increasingly scrutinized by regulators.
Why it matters in hiring
Non-Compete Agreement comes up whenever teams compare candidates, set policy or report on people data. Getting the definition right keeps decisions consistent, which is the same reason springhire scores every applicant against the same criteria rather than on impression.
