What is Ramp-Up Period?
The time it takes a new hire to reach full productivity in their role, typically measured from start date to the point where they consistently meet performance benchmarks.
Why it matters in hiring
Ramp-Up Period comes up whenever teams compare candidates, set policy or report on people data. Getting the definition right keeps decisions consistent, which is the same reason springhire scores every applicant against the same criteria rather than on impression.
