What is Right to Work?
A state-level labor law that prohibits employers and unions from requiring workers to join a union or pay union dues as a condition of employment, giving employees the choice to opt out of union membership and financial obligations.
Why it matters in hiring
Right to Work comes up whenever teams compare candidates, set policy or report on people data. Getting the definition right keeps decisions consistent, which is the same reason springhire scores every applicant against the same criteria rather than on impression.
