What is Rightsizing?
A workforce planning approach that adjusts an organization's headcount and structure to match its current and anticipated business needs, which may involve both eliminating and adding roles simultaneously.
Why it matters in hiring
Rightsizing comes up whenever teams compare candidates, set policy or report on people data. Getting the definition right keeps decisions consistent, which is the same reason springhire scores every applicant against the same criteria rather than on impression.
