What is Risk Assessment?
A systematic process of identifying workplace hazards, evaluating the likelihood and severity of harm they could cause, and determining appropriate controls to eliminate or reduce risk to an acceptable level.
Why it matters in hiring
Risk Assessment comes up whenever teams compare candidates, set policy or report on people data. Getting the definition right keeps decisions consistent, which is the same reason springhire scores every applicant against the same criteria rather than on impression.
