What is Short Leave?
A brief paid absence of 1 to 3 hours during the workday, commonly used in South Asian workplaces, that allows employees to handle urgent personal tasks without using a half-day or full-day leave allocation.
Why it matters in hiring
Short Leave comes up whenever teams compare candidates, set policy or report on people data. Getting the definition right keeps decisions consistent, which is the same reason springhire scores every applicant against the same criteria rather than on impression.
