What is Short-Term Assignment?
An international work assignment lasting less than 12 months where the employee temporarily relocates to a host country to complete a specific project, fill a skills gap, or provide technical support, typically without full family relocation or permanent housing arrangements.
Why it matters in hiring
Short-Term Assignment comes up whenever teams compare candidates, set policy or report on people data. Getting the definition right keeps decisions consistent, which is the same reason springhire scores every applicant against the same criteria rather than on impression.
