What is Signing Bonus?
A one-time lump-sum payment offered to a candidate as part of a job offer to incentivize them to accept the position, typically with a repayment clause if they leave within a specified period.
Why it matters in hiring
Signing Bonus comes up whenever teams compare candidates, set policy or report on people data. Getting the definition right keeps decisions consistent, which is the same reason springhire scores every applicant against the same criteria rather than on impression.
