What is Stock Options?
A form of equity compensation that gives employees the right, but not the obligation, to purchase a specific number of company shares at a predetermined price within a set time period.
Why it matters in hiring
Stock Options comes up whenever teams compare candidates, set policy or report on people data. Getting the definition right keeps decisions consistent, which is the same reason springhire scores every applicant against the same criteria rather than on impression.
