What is T4 Slip (Canada)?
The annual Canadian tax form (Statement of Remuneration Paid) that employers must prepare and file for each employee, reporting total employment income, income tax deducted, CPP and EI contributions, and other payroll information to the Canada Revenue Agency.
Why it matters in hiring
T4 Slip (Canada) comes up whenever teams compare candidates, set policy or report on people data. Getting the definition right keeps decisions consistent, which is the same reason springhire scores every applicant against the same criteria rather than on impression.
