What is Totalization Agreement?
A bilateral agreement between two countries that coordinates their social security systems, preventing double taxation of workers who split their careers across both countries and allowing them to combine work periods to qualify for benefits.
Why it matters in hiring
Totalization Agreement comes up whenever teams compare candidates, set policy or report on people data. Getting the definition right keeps decisions consistent, which is the same reason springhire scores every applicant against the same criteria rather than on impression.
