What is Unfair Dismissal (UK / Australia)?
A statutory claim that an employee's termination was unjust, unreasonable, or carried out without a fair process, available to eligible employees in the UK (under the Employment Rights Act 1996) and Australia (under the Fair Work Act 2009).
Why it matters in hiring
Unfair Dismissal (UK / Australia) comes up whenever teams compare candidates, set policy or report on people data. Getting the definition right keeps decisions consistent, which is the same reason springhire scores every applicant against the same criteria rather than on impression.
