What is Voluntary Turnover?
The rate at which employees choose to leave an organization of their own accord, including resignations, retirements, and other self-initiated departures, making it the primary measure of an organization's ability to retain talent it wants to keep.
Why it matters in hiring
Voluntary Turnover comes up whenever teams compare candidates, set policy or report on people data. Getting the definition right keeps decisions consistent, which is the same reason springhire scores every applicant against the same criteria rather than on impression.
