What is W-2 Form?
An annual IRS form (Wage and Tax Statement) that employers must issue to each employee by January 31, reporting total wages earned, taxes withheld, and benefits information for the prior calendar year.
Why it matters in hiring
W-2 Form comes up whenever teams compare candidates, set policy or report on people data. Getting the definition right keeps decisions consistent, which is the same reason springhire scores every applicant against the same criteria rather than on impression.
