What is W-4 Form?
An IRS form (Employee's Withholding Certificate) that employees complete to tell their employer how much federal income tax to withhold from each paycheck, based on filing status, dependents, and other adjustments.
Why it matters in hiring
W-4 Form comes up whenever teams compare candidates, set policy or report on people data. Getting the definition right keeps decisions consistent, which is the same reason springhire scores every applicant against the same criteria rather than on impression.
