What is Workers' Compensation Insurance?
The insurance policy US employers are required to purchase (or self-fund) that pays benefits to employees injured or made ill by their work, covering medical costs, lost wages, disability, and death benefits.
Why it matters in hiring
Workers' Compensation Insurance comes up whenever teams compare candidates, set policy or report on people data. Getting the definition right keeps decisions consistent, which is the same reason springhire scores every applicant against the same criteria rather than on impression.
