Everything about the PPC Test
Pair this test with the rest of the first round: springhire's candidate screening software adds a one-way video interview and resume scoring to the same candidate link, ranked in one report.
What is the PPC Test?
The PPC Test is built for paid search and paid media roles. Campaign questions cover account structure, match types, negative keywords, search terms, Quality Score and brand campaigns. Bidding questions cover CPC, CPA, ROAS, budget pacing, smart bidding and when a campaign is limited by budget. Ad questions cover relevance, extensions, testing ad copy and why clicks without conversions point to the landing page or offer. Measurement questions cover conversion tracking, attribution, incrementality, statistical significance and reading results across devices and audiences. Questions apply across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads and similar platforms.
What the PPC Test does not measure
It does not test hands-on work in a live ad account. Ask for a short account audit for senior roles.
How does the PPC Test work?
The PPC Test is an auto-scored multiple-choice test. Each candidate answers 20 questions drawn at random from a bank of 60, so two candidates rarely see the same set, and most finish in 8 to 12 minutes. The questions are spread evenly across campaigns and keywords, bidding and budgets, ads and landing pages and measurement, with a mix of easy, medium and hard items, and the report shows a score for each area as well as an overall score.
Why is the PPC Test important to employers?
PPC budgets can be wasted in days. A specialist who ignores search terms, misreads ROAS or trusts a test with too little data spends money on the wrong clicks. This test shows who manages accounts with the numbers in mind before you hand over your ad budget.
