Project Manager Job Description

We are looking for a Project Manager to take our initiatives from kickoff to delivery without the wheels coming off. You will build the plan, wrangle the moving parts, manage risks, and keep every stakeholder honest about scope and timelines. This role is ideal for an organized communicator who thrives on herding people and details toward a shared finish line.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and drive projects to on-time, on-scope delivery
- Manage risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communication
- Track scope, timeline, and budget against the plan
Day-to-day responsibilities
- Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria at kickoff
- Build and maintain project plans, timelines, and milestones
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and keep everyone accountable to commitments
- Track and manage dependencies, risks, and issues with clear mitigation plans
- Run stand-ups, status meetings, and steering updates for stakeholders
- Manage scope changes through a clear request and approval process
- Track budget, resources, and utilization against the plan
- Maintain project documentation, decisions, and action logs in tools like Jira or Asana
- Report progress, risks, and blockers clearly to leadership and sponsors
- Run project retrospectives and capture lessons for the next initiative
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, IT, or a related field
- 3 or more years of project management experience delivering cross-functional projects
- Working knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methods
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within scope
- PMP, PRINCE2, or a Scrum certification is a plus
