Supply Chain Manager Job Description
About the role
We are hiring a Supply Chain Manager to keep our end-to-end supply chain running efficiently and predictably. You will own supplier relationships, inventory levels, and logistics coordination, spotting bottlenecks before they become stockouts or delays. - Optimize inventory levels to balance cost and service
- Build and maintain reliable supplier and logistics partnerships
Day-to-day responsibilities
- Plan and manage inventory across warehouses to avoid both stockouts and excess
- Negotiate contracts, lead times, and pricing with suppliers and freight carriers
- Build demand forecasts and align procurement and production schedules to them
- Track supply chain KPIs such as fill rate, on-time delivery, and inventory turns
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics across road, sea, and air freight
- Run supplier scorecards and audits to hold vendors to quality and delivery standards
- Identify single points of failure and build backup sourcing and contingency plans
- Reduce landed cost through better routing, consolidation, and supplier terms
- Implement and maintain ERP or supply chain planning systems and master data
- Partner with sales, finance, and production on the sales and operations planning cycle
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, operations, engineering, or business
- 5 or more years in supply chain, procurement, or logistics, including team leadership
- Hands-on experience with ERP and demand planning tools such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite
- Proven record of cutting cost or lead time without hurting service levels
- Strong negotiation experience with domestic and international suppliers
