Everything about the Customer Experience Test
Pair this test with the rest of the first round: springhire's candidate screening software adds a one-way video interview and resume scoring to the same candidate link, ranked in one report.
What is the Customer Experience Test?
The Customer Experience Test is built for roles that look at the whole customer experience. Metrics questions cover CSAT, NPS, CES, churn and first contact resolution, including calculating NPS and reading small samples. Journey questions cover touchpoints, onboarding, pain points, omnichannel handoffs and moments of truth. Voice of the customer questions cover closing the loop, leading survey questions, sentiment, themes and survey bias. Service recovery questions cover apologies, escalation, outages, public complaints and fixing root causes. It goes beyond customer service basics into how to measure and improve service across a business.
What the Customer Experience Test does not measure
It does not measure how a candidate speaks to customers in real time or skill with a specific CX platform. Use a recorded interview where they respond to an upset customer scenario.
How does the Customer Experience Test work?
The Customer Experience Test is an auto-scored multiple-choice test. Each candidate answers 20 questions drawn at random from a bank of 60, so two candidates rarely see the same set, and most finish in 8 to 12 minutes. The questions are spread evenly across CX metrics, customer journey, voice of the customer and service recovery, with a mix of easy, medium and hard items, and the report shows a score for each area as well as an overall score.
Why is the Customer Experience Test important to employers?
Teams that measure the wrong thing or fix complaints one by one never improve the experience. A candidate who reads metrics carefully, follows the journey end to end and fixes causes, not just cases, can lift retention far more than a fast ticket handler. This test shows who thinks that way.
