Talent Acquisition Specialist Job Description
About the role
We are hiring a Talent Acquisition Specialist to own full-cycle recruiting across several open roles at once. You will partner with hiring managers to scope requirements, run proactive sourcing, and guide candidates through a fair, fast, and human process. The ideal person is part detective and part relationship builder: relentless about finding great people and thoughtful about how they experience your company along the way.
Key responsibilities
- Run full-cycle recruiting from intake to signed offer
- Proactively source and engage passive candidates
- Partner with hiring managers to scope roles and calibrate on quality
Day-to-day responsibilities
- Run structured intake meetings with hiring managers to define must-haves and success criteria
- Source passive candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, and referrals
- Screen resumes and conduct phone screens to assess skills, motivation, and fit
- Coordinate interview loops and keep the ATS (such as Greenhouse or Lever) accurate and current
- Write compelling job descriptions and outreach messages that get replies
- Manage candidate communication so no one is left waiting or ghosted
- Extend and negotiate offers, then guide accepted candidates into onboarding
- Track pipeline metrics like time-to-fill, source-of-hire, and offer-accept rate
- Build talent pools and nurture prospects for recurring or hard-to-fill roles
- Represent the employer brand at events, on career pages, and in candidate conversations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, psychology, or a related field
- 2 or more years of full-cycle recruiting experience, in-house or at an agency
- Hands-on experience sourcing passive candidates and using an applicant tracking system
- A track record of filling roles across multiple functions or levels at once
- Strong written communication and comfort managing several searches in parallel
